My wife and I enjoyed It Takes Two but some of the one off I was glad to get rid of. My kid on the other hand hated how you kept learning new stuff only for it to be dropped and never return again, just like this review, and I was getting this for them for their birthday. I just watched the ACG review on YT and this game looks phenomenal, lots of things that remind me of the Mario games and lets be honest, there is not a better platformer out there to take notes from. Also the advantages or lets say unique features this game has over the Mario series are way better graphics and for Playstation gamers all the Bots that remind you of well known games. The game on ps5 i’ve been waiting for since i got one basically… The switch has remained my most played platform after all these years because of the lack of games like this, for me the essense of gaming…
Astro Bot Characters
It became one of the highest-rated VR games, so naturally, the franchise did not stop there. Astro’s Playroom would launch in 2020 pre-installed on every PS5, and once again served as a tech demo for the studio’s latest controller. Then, in 2024, players were treated to the full-length critically acclaimed platformer Astro Bot. Some platformers are really safe in their level design/movesets so you bet I’m critical. Besides many of Astro Bot’s creative and exciting boss battles, nostalgia fuels much of Astro Bot’s most thrilling moments, especially with the few stages specifically themed after PlayStation’s most beloved properties. However, 789win risk feeling hollow for those who haven’t played the games that Astro Bot seems desperate to reference.
Level themes include the traditional cliches such as lava worlds and slippy-slidey ice worlds, as well as those from Rescue Mission, such as construction yards and plant-filled gardens. There is one Puzzle Piece that floats in space in the Gorilla Nebula once you’ve beaten all levels through Apes On The Loose. The iconic marsupial is none other than PlayStation’s Crash Bandicoot! Once you have unlocked Crash Bandicoot Special Bot and its unique cosmetic from the Gatcha Lab (Protective Spirit), find Crash at your Crash site.
It had the reviews, and by indie standards, it was very widely played. The last time an indie game appeared to seriously challenge for Game of the Year at The Game Awards was Hades’ run in 2020. It claimed many high-profile outlets’ GOTY titles that year, and some of us professed shock when it lost to The Last of Us Part 2. But a look at this handy global tracker of game-of-the-year titles — tracking games that either won GOTY awards or topped journalistic outlets’ end-of-year lists — tells the sobering true story.

Along the way, Astro gains new powers and transformations to aid in the journey. Released in celebration of PlayStation’s 30th anniversary, the game pays homage to the brand’s legacy by allowing players to find and reunite with over 150 iconic PlayStation characters.
Same with racing, my favourite racing games are from the past because modern ones suck. @jmac1686 A lot of babies here want to play it I’m one of them. What are you going to play a adult copy and paste game part whatever. I’d say your only potential hurdle is some of the challenges, as they can be quite tough, but broadly speaking the game is on the easy side. @RubyCarbuncle Oh I don’t doubt there’s an audience for VR, I just don’t see Sony alloting much time or resources to it for their new golden child (Asobi) with this sort of success on the vanilla console under their belts. I never thought i see the day push square giving a ps game a 10 score ..
For certain puzzles, including the Az-Tech Trail doors, the DualSense is crucial to figuring out how to proceed, so pay close attention on what your controller is telling you at all times. At The Game Awards 2024 (TGA 2024), ASTRO BOT made history by claiming the prestigious Game of the Year award. Competing against highly anticipated titles like Silksong and other GOTY nominees, Team ASOBI’s creation stood out for its innovative gameplay and PlayStation 5 excellence. ASTRO BOT is exclusively available for PS5, taking full advantage of the console’s advanced features including the DualSense controller, 3D Audio, and enhanced graphics capabilities.
What Are All Special Bots In Astro Bot? Chop Chop Master Onion – Lyrical Master
Jump across the platforms until you reach a checkpoint and a glass floor covered in gold. Defeat the enemies and then break through the glass on the right side. The puzzle piece is in a nook nearby, before you boost back up. Once you’re back outside in the hour glass, boost through the bottom of the spike platform until you reach the next checkpoint. Defeat the enemies and some “gophers” will start popping out of holes near the checkpoint.
Where it gets more interesting is when you start looking at the way in which technology is leveraged throughout the game to create something even more playful and fun. On top of the rendering, the team has instead prioritised interactivity such as physics and fluid simulation, even finding ways to directly implement them into the gameplay loop. Jump into the first pools of water and marvel as the leaves realistically move across the surface of the water which, in turn, ripples with every movement. Things like leaves are a minor detail but as you play, you’ll find them sprinkled across the game world, heightening that sense of interactivity as individually shadowed leaves gently tumble through the air.
The image quality is superb, showing off the vibrant and detailed worlds wonderfully. While it doesn’t have the graphical heft of other first-party titles, it’s incredibly visually pleasing thanks to clean, consistent art direction. On top of that is silky smooth 60 frames-per-second performance, with not one hitch spotted in all our time playing. Oh, and special mention must be made for the soundtrack, which is just excellent throughout.
